Quality Work is Important to us at Barton Glass!
Billy’s career began in 1978 as a helper, learning all phases of glass and glazing – Residential and Commercial/Industrial. The only thing that he was responsible for in the beginning, was NOT to break glass. Billy’s coworkers started calling him “Crash” because during his first year, he did break a lot of glass. Luckily, he had a very patient teacher who taught him about cutting glass and installation, and the rest came with experience.

Billy opened Barton Glass in 2011 because he wanted the freedom to be his own boss along with a commitment to offering quality products, exceptional service, at affordable prices to all our customers. Some of our customers have become friends as a result of utilizing our help when it was needed.
After three years operating as a sole proprietor, Barton Glass became a corporation in September 2013.
Billy’s wife, JoAnne, is Vice President/Secretary, with more than 25 years in office/business management in her history, JoAnne backs Billy up as she is able. Along with the help of our admin staff, Kirby, Sealey, Meg, and our newest addition, Betty Lou, JoAnne covers for Billy when he’s in the field to take care of customer service and makes sure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll talk with her, sometimes, when I’m not available.
His nose knows!
He’s nearly always barking orders at us.
She has to inspect everything that comes in.
We are avid supporters of animal rescues. In 2012, we adopted Sealey, a Cocker Spaniel, from DFW Cocker Spaniel Rescue. In March 2013, we rescued a beautiful Boxer-mix, named Betty Lou, from a shelter and, working with a local rescue organization, saw that she was successfully placed in a loving home. In August 2013 we fostered then adopted Meg, another Cocker Spaniel, from DFW Cocker Spaniel Rescue. These two adopted pups have a brother, Kirby, who has been with us since he was three months old. We are so happy to open our home to these wonderful dogs.
There’s more to the story of Betty Lou! We got a call in June 2014, over a year after her adoption, that she was in a shelter again. We rescued her once more, and now she is a permanent member of our family. We’re so happy to have her back!
In the Spring of 2016, we moved to Wills Point, on our own little piece of Texas. We are all enjoying the country life!
